Chalutsa camel well.

Chalutsa camel well.

This water well is over 1500 years old! Desert sands are all around but the Nabati people knew better. They mastered the art of harvesting flood water and enriching underground reserves. Now they were ready to build a city. Chalutsa was its name. This was the first desert city on the UNESCO world heritage selected sit of "The spice route". The same one to stretch through to Saudi Arabia and Yemen through Petra.
