It is less than one KM north of Machtesh Ramon cliff and it was built by king Solomon over 3000 years ago. This is one of a few unbelievable ancient vineyard farms on the highest Negev desert mountain, mt. Ramon. We learn of water harvesting technology that sustained life for all these years! The Israeli JNF is trying to reconstruct the system today... In some locations, we will see grapes growing successfully.. How did this work and what else can we grow here? Would it be possible to grow Cherries in the desert??
