Location: Golan Heights, on the British mandatory road to Kibuts Gonen. Probably one of the most enjoyable easy to moderate water fall climb in Israel ! The crisp-cool spring water, runs out from a crack in the massive white and black rock layers of the Golan into a hidden pool. Broad sweet smelling fig trees, partially shade the climb and densely scattered basalt rock, wet from the water spray, challenge the climb and add to the fun. Third of the trio, is the water fall that if given a second look, reveals the source as an extra large pipe covered by fig tree branches. This phenomena, was taken advantage of, some 1500 years ago, to build one of the most remarkable combinations of basalt Synagogues and wash pools, some 15 kilometers south of this point, Um Al Kantir ( is part of another track of the Golan ).
