What do you picture in your mind when hearing the words "Face of the Earth"? Well, the Dimona mountain ridge is a great fun choice... The mountain landscape is free of human intervention for as far as the eye can see. The minimal 150 m"m of rain fall, is just enough to wash clean the rocky mountain face, emphasizing its natural beauty. Down, is some dry wadi bed, some bushes and thin grass blades, will be greatly appreciated by desert roaming Bedouin black goats and some white sheep.
The Dimona mountain ridge, rests as a tiger on its side, stretching its arms and legs as a challenge for tiny cubs (our jeeps) to climb up or glide down. And we will do just that, with great pleasure too! Beware! Not much space on ether side of the track!
Once we glide down the ridge into the Dimona wadi, we shall visit a spectacular "cheese cake", white lime stone formation, called the Silon hill. Simply beautiful... Further, we are welcomed by the 3500 years famous biblical Track of Edom, used by sheep traders, two kings of Israel, camel caravans and us, 4x4 desert explorers... How did the track serve then and today? It will be a pleasure finding out.
