One of the coolest water 4x4 track on central Golan Heights...
This track is most appreciated when summer temperatures sour to 38 deg. C. or 100 deg. F. and over. The Golan Heights is a white-pink lime stone plane, covered with dark volcanic layers and basalt rocks. The contact layer of lime and basalt is exposed along the geological breaking line of the Afro-Syria Rift and this releases numerous water springs which make the track so enjoyable for us...
The geological cliff like structure line was a natural state boarder between Israel and Syria. However, the Golan having a height advantage over Israel was used by Syria to shell Israeli settlements, eventual resulting with the 1967 six day war and the take-over of the Golan by Israel. Our track visits sites highlighting the routes of the Syrian - Israeli conflict and key battle points.
The height and springs advantages of our track offer us rich Fiona, grazing land and fantastic views of the upper Galilee "finger", the Chula valley and Kiryat Shmona surrounded by many of the early new age Israeli agricultural settlements, some famous for survival fighting, such as Kfar Giladi and Tel Chai.
