Makhtesh Ramon is the largest erosion crater in the world, but its international fame draws from the greatest geological variety it uncovers... The West part of the crater is the wild, desolate and mostly untouched part. Reaching the various phenomena is a true desert experience. Bumpy, hot and barren but so, so majestically pure...

Some of the phenomena to expect are "frozen" lava cons, "crystallized" baked sand pole production "mountain", layered black and with "marble" cube playground, dry water beds, revealing rich colorful sand rocks 250 million years old and "live" cracking dolomite mountain side rocks, rolling down at a flash flood breakthrough... A true live erosion crater at work... The extreme track option is to turn south, deeper into the Negev desert, trough Nahal Arod, Oded and Nekarot (see the image gallery) or, Optional to the tour, is a visit to the fascinating only alpaca and llama ranch in Israel (about  30 nis per person)...The ranch hosts many more farm animals and a riding experience on a llama for children! For a special atmosphere, optionally, is a night desert tent camp with desert tranquility... Silent Arrow...
