(A) Once a year, on the night of Tu-Be-Av (the Hebrew Valentine day), when most would be preparing for sleep, deep down in the Negev desert, one by one, "fireflies" will be rolling into a small parking patch above the dry Zin river.  A soft silvery light is reflected from the rounded semi-rocky and bare hills around. Each arriving "firefly" will deposit a "load" of positive energy and the smiles will spread and grow... What is the secret of this powerful beauty?...Welcome to Nahal Havariv! We head to a short desert night rest around a small campfire.

(B) Full day adventure, best done in winter. Morning come, black coffee and we are on-route to the "Zin desert" or Bik-at Zin, tracking the best water holes and oasis patches alongside the Zin dry river. At Ein Akev, we have a good chance for a deep spring water morning swim. The best in the whole Negev desert! For the next few hours, we will "join" the Hebrews tracking through the desert some 3400 years ago, learning the forging secrets and challenges of desert survival. Some of the sites are: Nabaty Mezad Zin, Ma-ale Zin, Ein Zik, Darb-el Sultan, Ein-Um-Tina, Gev Zarhan and Ein Yorkeam...
